What is the IB and Why Is It Important?
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a globally recognized educational program known for its academic rigor and holistic approach to student development. The IB not only focuses on academic excellence but also on shaping young individuals who are principled, responsible, and globally aware, with strong personal and social skills that allow them to act with confidence in a constantly changing world.
The IB at Notre Dame International School
We are the only school in Nicaragua that offers all three IB programmes, including the full Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). This full integration allows for a smooth transition as students progress through their educational journey, ensuring consistency and continuity in their learning.
